The National Publicity Secretary of the Youth Party, YP, Ayodele Adio, says the All Progressives Congress, APC, is vulnerable ahead of the 2027 general elections, noting that many Nigerians are eager for an alternative.

Adio spoke on Thursday during an interview on TRUST BASE NEWS’s The Morning Brief.

He said his assessment was based on his recent campaign experience, where he engaged voters at ward and polling-unit levels.

“The incumbent is very beatable. They are standing on weak footing,” he said.

Adio called on opposition parties to form a united front if they hope to challenge the APC in 2027, warning that fragmented interests would make such an effort difficult.

He said internal disputes within major opposition blocs, particularly the PDP, and recurring debates over zoning could complicate efforts to build a coalition.

Despite these challenges, he maintained that public sentiment favours a credible alternative.

“I can tell you for a fact that Nigerians are desperate for an alternative system,” he added.
