2027: Zamfara APC endorses Tinubu for second term
The All Progressives Congress, APC, in Zamfara State has endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The endorsement followed a series of stakeholders’ meetings held after the three-day working visit of the Minister of State for Defence, Bello Matawalle, to the state.
APC Publicity Secretary in Zamfara, Yusuf Idris, confirmed the development while briefing journalists in Gusau on Saturday.
Idris said the party leadership, under Chairman Tukur Danfulani, resolved to endorse President Tinubu for re-election in appreciation of the administration’s achievements, particularly in economic reforms and national security.
He explained that the resolution was contained in a letter addressed to President Tinubu through Matawalle, and duly signed by the APC chairman and secretary.
The letter, he noted, was the outcome of stakeholders’ meetings held on November 1 in Talata-Mafara and on November 14 at the party secretariat in Gusau, under the guidance of former governor and influential party leader, Senator Abdulaziz Yari.
Idris added that APC stakeholders across the 14 local government areas also validated the endorsement through individually signed letters submitted to the State Executive Committee.
“With these collective affirmations, we are confident that, by the will of Almighty Allah, our great party, the APC, will secure overwhelming victory across the North-West in the 2027 general elections,” he said.
