Alhaji Atiku Abubakar to Speak on the Supreme Court Judgement dismissing his petition on Monday.
Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the February 25, 2023 election and former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, will have a crucial press conference on Monday, which will be in response to the Thursday’s Supreme Court’s judgment affirming the victory of President Bola Tinubu.
Atiku whose petition he filed challenge President Tinubu’s victory in the Nigeria’s Apex Court was dismissed as the Court Affirmed President Tinibu’s victory as dully Elected President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
According to a statement from the office of the National Publicity Secretary of the PDP, the press conference will be focused on issues of serious importance to the nation.
Though it is not known what would be the focus of the press conference, there are speculations that he would react to the judgment and probably congratulate Tinubu, his former political ally.
Some of his close associates had told Journalists, that since the highest court in Nigeria had spoken, the former vice president has no alternative than to accept the verdict of the Supreme Court.
And also with the outcome of the Supreme Court judgment, PDP leaders will now focus on the battle for the control of the soul of the main opposition party as elders of the party are said to be mounting pressure on the former President of the Senate, Dr. Bukola Saraki to vie for the position of the national chairman of the opposition party.
