Why Lagos Assembly Speaker, Obasa was impeached, replaced | READ DETAILS
Barely one month after he was accused of spending N17billion to fix a gate leading to the Lagos state House of Assembly, Speaker, Mudashiru Obasa, has been impeached.
Obasaa was impeached by other House members on the grounds of multiple statutory and financial infractions and subsequently replaced by his deputy, Mojisola Meranda.

Mrs Meranda, who represents Apapa Constituency 1, was also a former chief whip of the house.
Mojeed Fatai is now the Deputy Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly.
