The lifeless body of a young man who is to be between 20 to 25 years of age has been found on a refuse dump on Sunday morning in Makurdi, the Benue state capital.
The deceased who was found on him signs of brutalization, which has been suspected to be a cult clash that brought his life to an end.
His body was found near Iorpuu Adai Street, Nyiman Layout, HUDCO quarters, in Makurdi, according to reports.
The young man’s hands were found tied behind his back, and one ear missing. His assailants had callously placed his body in a sack before dumping it on the refuse heap.
His lifeless body was first found by Worshippers who were going for morning service on Sunday.
The Benue State Police Command have not made any statement concerning the discovery as report has it that the Police have not been informed of the incident, and investigations into the circumstances surrounding the young man’s death may not have been commence as the matter is yet to be reported to the Police.
