Aminu Dantata passes on – Hanto Daily News
One of the respected millionaires for over four decades and popular Kano businessman and philanthropist, Alhaji Aminu Alhassan Dantata, has passed on to the great beyond at the age of 94.
His Principal Private Secretary, Mustapha Abdullahi Junaid.death confirmed this Saturday Morning 28/6/25 in a statement he issued: “Innalillahi wa inna ilaihi rajiun. Innalillahi wa inna ilaihi rajiun. It is with heavy heart that I announce the passing of our beloved father Alhaji Aminu Alhassan Dantata. May Allah grant him Jannatul Firdaus and forgive his shortcomings. The Janazah details will be shared later insha Allah.”
Alhaji Aminu Dantata is the founder of Express Petroleum & Gas Company Ltd and played a key role in the establishment of Jaiz Bank, Nigeria’s first non-interest (Islamic) bank.
The renowned philanthropist is an uncle to Africa’s richest man, Alhaji Aliko Dangote.
