An Appeal for the Abia State Government to intervene, in the brutal murder of Late Agwu Udo Mong.

Late Agwu Udo Mong, who hails from Nkwebi Ohafia, was brutally murdered on Friday 8th September, 2023.

“He met his untimely death after being accused of rapping a minor”. An anonymous reports stated.

According to the reports, the mother of the minor suspected the deceased of rapping her daughter, which she quickly reported to her Brothers without conducting an investigation.

Others sources has it that , She actually conducted a medical examination to know if there was a rape, which she was informed by medical personnel that such didn’t happened.

Meanwhile, her brother’s has already waylaid Late Agwu Udo Mong on his way, where he was arrested and beaten to death by some groups of boys in Okagwe Community in Ohafia LGA, who are already on the wanted list of the police for a different Murder case.

It is indeed a painful death as some eye witnesses before his inhuman killing suggested that, he did not commit any rape.

The case has been in the police since 8th September 2023. The deceased Brother confirmed that the case is transferred to the Abia State Police command Headquarters, Umuahia.

No single arrest has been made since the incidents happened.

It is confirmed that those  that killed Agwu Udo Mong are walking freely in town and have perfected their plans to die the case.

The attention of the Abia State Government and the Commissioner of Police Abia State is called upon to look into this injustice, as we urge our Amiable Governor Dr Alex Otti and the Abia State Police Command to swiftly intervene in this Capital offence for the perpetrators to face Justice and to avoid a reoccurrence. As this is an offence committed against humanity.
