Borno governor tasks military as terr0rists ki-lls farmers, fishermen | READ DETAILS
Borno state governor, Prof. Babagana Umara Zulum has charged the armed forces to track and deal decisively with the suspected Boko Haram terro-rists who attacke-d and kill-ed over forty farmers and fishermen in Kayakura village in Kukawa Local Government Area of the State.
Reacting on Monday, to the incident which occurred at about 5 pm on Sunday, January 12, the state Commissioner of Information and Internal Security, Usman Tar, said the governor who commiserates with affected families, calls on the officers and men of Operation Hadin Kai of the Nigerian Army, “to track and obliterate the insurgent elements that are operating at Dumba and other similar enclaves in the Lake Chad Area”.
He said governor Zuulum assures that those still missing will be found and reunited with their families.
Confirming the incident, some residents, said it was a cool evening until they started hearing sporadic gunshots.
