DR IFEANYI OKEKE, LABOUR PARTY CHIEFTAIN BERATES GOV OTTI AND HIS GANG, DESCRIBES THEM AS CONTENT CREATORS.

A chieftain of the Labour Party, Dr Ifeanyi Okeke has berated Dr Alex Otti and his followers who do not want to respect the constitution of the Labour Party and their flagrant disobedience to the decision of the national executive council (NEC) of the party.

Dr Okeke who attributed the actions of the only party’s governor and his ignorant followers as content creators based on the illegalities surrounding all their efforts taken in destabilising the party and removing the Labour Party national chairman Bar Julius Abure who has been elected as the National Chairman in a convention legally constituted in accordance with the party’s constitution, INEC guidelines and the Electoral Acts.

The chieftain eulogises Gov Otti as a good governor but called him a bad party man. He also highlighted that Gov otti’s political history has always been factionalized, tracing from his time in APC in 2022.

According to Okeke, the NEC of the Labour Party comprises of 172 members with the governor and his deputy as the only 2 elected members in accordance with the party’s constitution but worried while such a fruitless action is spearheaded by the governor who also was the chairman and sponsor of the Nnewi convention that elected the party’s NWC.

Dr Okeke queried the decision of the illegal committee in Umuahia to appoint Nenadi Usman as a caretaker committee without even being a member of the Labour Party.

He however describes the actions of the governor as contents creation which to him seems to be a journey of no return if those fanning the embers of discord and factions refuses to call themselves to other.

“Our Governor, HE. Alex Chioma Otti is a good governor but a bad party man, and it must be noted that it didn’t start with the Labour Party.
In 2022, Alex Otti was a member of the APC in Abia. His faction was busy doing content creation with his Abia Arise group,, and he lost the Abia ticket.

He ran to Abure, begging and promising heaven and earth if the party gave him the ticket.
In September of last year, two members of NEC, the governor and his deputy, called a yam festival meeting in Umuahia, where they appointed a woman who is not a member of the Labour Party as a caretaker committee Chairman. They did it with the full knowledge that only the National Chairman of the Labour Party can call an NEC meeting through the National Secretary of the party. They are aware that members of NEC are over 172 members, which is why I said that they are just creating content.

Nenadi Usman, their chairperson,, is not a member of the Labour Party, according to the Labour Party national leadership. Alex Otti, through his deputy, chaired the Nnewi Convention and partly sponsored it. At what point did the governor know that the convention he Chaired is no longer valid? Content creators.

Abure’s name is the one that is on the INEC website and rightly so. She is begging INEC to add her name, and I ask what constitutional process brought you to the position. The Labour Party elects its Chairmen through Conventions, not New Year’s festivals.

They claimed that Abure’s Tenure has expired. I want to ask Otti, which tenure? On the 27/3/24 in Nnewi, Anambra State, you oversaw a Convention that gave Bar Julius Abure a four-year mandate that will end in 2028.
