Engr. Ikechukwu Emetu (FNSE), Abia Deputy Governor Empowers his Constituents, Party faithfuls, Promises to do more.
The Labour Party faithfuls in Ohafia Local Government Area, were on Saturday 13 January 2024 empowered with legacy items by the Deputy Governor of Abia State, Engr. Ikechukwu Emetu (FNSE).
The empowerments cut across all Labour Party ward executives, LGA executives and party faithfuls in the entire Ohafia Local Government Area, which is the Constituency of the deputy Governor.
Those benefited from the empowerment in the wards includes, Party ward Chairmen, Secretaries, Women leaders, youth leaders and other party faithfuls, while beneficiaries from the LGA, includes all Executives, women above forties, Men above forties, Youths and others that has sacrificed for the party etc.
In an opening remarks, the State Labour Party Chairman, Hon Ceekay Igara told the Party faithfuls that, this empowerment is the least of what the Party will witness, in as much as the Party has finally been victorious in it’s Supreme Court case, as he assures them of many more good things on the way as the distractions from oppositions politicians has been led to rest by the Apex Court.
Hon Igara also assures it’s party that everything hanging will definitely drop for the Party. He Eulogises His Excellency Engr Emetu for his desires to empower his people with quality items which is first he has witnessed from Ohafia LGA. He prayed God to Bless the Deputy Governor for his heart of giving to his people.
The Deputy Governor who was full of excitements for the Affirmation of their election mandate by the supreme Court in his speech, thanked everyone for answering his calls to benefit from his empowerment, assuring the party faithfuls that the recent supreme Court judgement in Abia Elections affirming the election of Gov Alex Otti has indeed freed Abians from maladministration and looting as he assured them that the Egyptians they saw yesterday shall be seen no more in Abia State.
He encouraged the Party of his intentions to do more as he informed them that his empowerment is a token of appreciation to the Party, to the wards, LGA, and Party faithfuls who worked for the Party.
Engr Emetu, informed the party that the happiness experienced by Abia workers and Abians will definitely continue in the Otti led Government of Abia State.
He encouraged beneficiaries not to play with what is gifted to them as some may be a foundation to lively hood.
Some of the beneficiaries who expressed joy and excitement says that this act of the Deputy Governor is first and historic in Labour Party in Ohafia LGA as they thank God for giving them a Deputy Governor with the heart of gold from their LGA.
