FIFA To Unveil Updated 2026 World Cup Match Schedule In Live Washington DC Broadcast – Arise News
FIFA will on Saturday unveil the updated match schedule for the FIFA World Cup 2026 in a global live broadcast from Washington DC, the governing body announced. The event, scheduled for 12:00 EST (18:00 CET) on 6 December, comes a day after the Final Draw, which will introduce the tournament’s 12 groups of four.
According to FIFA, the presentation will be “one of the most significant moments on the road to 2026”, bringing together FIFA President Gianni Infantino, several FIFA Legends, and representatives of the 42 qualified teams as well as countries still competing for the remaining slots.
The show will feature full details on match venues and kick off times for all 104 fixtures to be staged across the three host nations next June and July. FIFA said the reveal will include “expert insights and reactions” that will break down match ups, analyse key storylines and highlight the host cities preparing to welcome fans next year.
FIFA confirmed that “the broadcast will be carried live across FIFA platforms, including FIFA.com and FIFA’s YouTube channel”, adding that an international broadcast feed will also be available to television partners worldwide.
The global body explained that the match allocation process that follows the draw is designed to provide the best conditions for teams and spectators, while allowing fans in various time zones to watch their sides live. It added that the final version of the match schedule will be released in March, after the FIFA and European playoffs determine the last six qualifying teams.
With nearly two million tickets already sold and excitement rising across the 16 Host Cities, Saturday’s reveal marks another major milestone as preparations intensify for what FIFA calls a “truly game changing FIFA World Cup”.
FIFA said further updates will be communicated via the FIFA Media Hub.
