A 45-year-old Indonesian man, Parlindungan Siregarn has allegedly ki-lled his 60-year-old neighbour, Asgim Irianto for repeatedly asking him why he is yet to be married
The incident occurred on July 29 in South Tapanuli regency, North Sumatra.
According to Irianto’s wife, Siregar arrived at their home ar-med with a piece of wood and launched a sudden ass-ault on Irianto.
The victim fled into the street, but Siregar pursued him and delivered a fatal blow to his head. Despite Irianto falling to the ground, Siregar continued the as-sault until other residents intervened.
Emergency responders rushed Irianto to the hospital, but he died on the way.
Siregar was arrested shortly after the att-ack.
In comments to the local media, the Assistant Police Commissioner, Maria Marpaung said that the aggressor said that he flipped because Irianto kept taunting him about why he did not have a girlfriend. The Police added that the two men already had another dispute over some chickens which they were both breeding.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
