Imo APP begins membership registration across 305 wards
The Imo State chapter of the Action Peoples Party, APP, has commenced a membership registration exercise across the 305 wards in the state in preparation for the 2027 general elections.
The party, in a statement issued through its spokesperson, Cajethan Duke, also stated that the move is aimed at firmly establishing the party’s presence at the grassroots level.
Duke explained that the decision for the exercise was reached by the Interim State Executive Committee of the party, under the leadership of Ernest Njesi, who officially announced the commencement of the exercise, scheduled for Saturday, November 22, 2025.
The APP spokesperson added that the exercise, which will feature only physical membership registration, marks a significant milestone in the party’s determined efforts to bring about a transformed Imo for the benefit of all its citizens.
According to him, “In view of the foregoing and in line with provisions of the party’s constitution, the Interim State Executive Committee has approved the composition of local government area membership registration committees and the appointment of ward anchor persons across the State.
“The full list of LGA registration committees and ward anchor persons will be published in due course.”
Duke added, “We therefore urge all eligible citizens to register and align themselves with APP’s vision of delivering the State from economic doldrum.”
