Jamie Carragher Blasts Mohamed Salah As ‘Disgraceful’ Over Leeds Outburst – Arise News

Former Liverpool star and current pundit Jamie Carragher has criticised Mohamed Salah for his recent post-match outburst, branding it “disgraceful” and “choreographed.” The Liverpool forward aired his frustrations after being left on the bench during the 3-3 draw against Leeds at Elland Road.

Salah had told reporters, “Tomorrow, [Jamie] Carragher is going to criticise me, but that’s fine,” prompting Carragher to respond strongly on Sky Sports’ Monday Night Football. “I thought it was a disgrace what he did after the game,” Carragher said. “Some people have painted it as an emotional outburst I don’t think it was. This appears choreographed between him and his agent to create maximum impact and strengthen his position.”

Carragher highlighted Salah’s tendency to “throw the club under the bus,” noting that the Egypt international has repeatedly prioritised individual recognition over collective responsibility. “With the manager right now, he should be doing as much as he can to help the club during the worst run since the 1950s,” Carragher added, citing instances where Salah publicly criticised teammates and management.

The pundit also stressed that despite Salah’s remarkable achievements over 250 goals for Liverpool his ego and self-focused approach undermine team cohesion. “It becomes a problem when everything is about me, me, me,” he said, referencing Salah’s comments following the Leeds draw.

Salah, who has four Premier League goals in 13 appearances this season, trained with the first team ahead of Liverpool’s Champions League match against Inter Milan but was ultimately left out of the travelling squad. Carragher affirmed the club’s decision, emphasising the need for players to prioritise teamwork over personal stats.

While acknowledging Salah’s legendary status and contributions to Liverpool, Carragher urged the forward to balance individual brilliance with leadership and support for fellow players. “He’s one of the greatest players we’ve had, but he must remember it’s not only about him,” Carragher concluded.
