Julius Abure is Our Authentic National Chairman, Disregard Baseless Claim.—- Labour Party.

The Labour Party, LP has reacted to the baseless press statement by those seeking to disrupt the progress of the party by claiming that Julius Abure is not the authentic National Chairman of the party.

In a press statement, released by the Party through it’s official X handle on Saturday, the party refuted the claim, that Julius Abure is not the authentic National Chairman.The party also said that the national convention that Julius Abure organized in Nnewi, Anambra State had party faithfuls in attendance and it was a successful one.

The Labour Party urged everyone to disregard the baseless claims and misinformation currently being spread by some people stating that the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC and other stakeholders are working with Julius Abure.

The Disclaimer Statement reads:

“We, the members and supporters of the Labour Party, wish to counter the misleading press statement circulated by some individuals aimed at discrediting our esteemed leader, Barrister Julius Abure.

The congresses organized by Barrister Abure are legitimate and in line with the party’s constitution and electoral laws. The Nnewi convention of March 27, 2024, was a successful and peaceful gathering of party faithful, which reaffirmed Barrister Abure’s leadership and vision for the party.

We urge all members to disregard the baseless claims and misinformation spread by those seeking to disrupt our progress. Barrister Abure’s leadership has been validated by the party’s constitution and electoral laws.

INEC and other stakeholders are working with the Abure -led NWC to build a stronger and more united Labour Party.

Please note that there is no national transition committee within the labour party currently that is recognized by the labour party and INEC. Let us peacefully go about our businesses as we approach state/LGA/ward congress.
