ODINMA Ohafia Social Club “A beacon Of Impactful Community Service and Development”, Elects new leadership.
Ohafia, ABIA – The ODINMA Ohafia Social Club, a vision for community growth, unity and progress for the Ohafia community, has elected a new team of executives. The new Executives which has competent men and women at home and the Diaspora with diverse professional backgrounds who have shown commitment to the objectives of the Social Club in fostering professional development, social connection, and impactful community service.
This new leadership, embodies a shared commitment to uplifting the community through initiatives that strengthen social bonds and support collective growth.
The team has Hon. Dr. Pastor Okey Udo as the President, Hon. Chief Mrs. Amaka Mba, the Vice President, Hon. Mazi Awa Oguama, General Secretary, Hon. Mrs. Blessing Idika Assistant General Secretary, Hon. Elizabeth Uchime Obiorah, Financial Secretary, Hon. Chief Emele Tony Udensi, Treasurer, Hon. Mazi Daniel Awa, Public Relations Officer, Hon. Mrs. Eresi Okeh Ezikpe, Assistant Public Relations Officer, Hon. Chief Chester Uche Awa, Social/Welfare Director, Hon. Chief Orji Enyinnaya as the Legal Advisor , amongst others.
In the President acceptance speech, Dr. Udo expressed his gratitude and set forth a vision of the unity and progress for Nde Ohafia. “Our goal is not only to support one another but to support Ohafia as a whole. Together, we aim to create opportunities for sustainable development and social welfare,” he stated.
Dr. Udo envisioned ODINMA Ohafia as a pillar of support, driving initiatives that foster unity and positive impact. He added, “Our blessings are given not just for ourselves, but for us to reach out and lift others up.”
Meanwhile, in her response, Hon. Chief Lady Gogo Ndy Evuka, the club’s founding Chairperson, also shared an inspiring message for the new leadership and members. She emphasized the power of unity, quoting the Ohafia proverb, “Igwe bu ike,” which translates to “Strength is in togetherness.” She added, “Our community’s strength comes from our love and commitment to one another. As we work toward growth, let us uphold compassion and mutual support, ensuring that every member feels the strength of ODINMA Ohafia.”
The highpoints of the event was the reassurance that ODINMA Ohafia Social Club remains dedicated to building meaningful connections, celebrating shared achievements, and giving back to Ohafia. Guided by a mission of collective progress, anchored in traditional values, and grounded in the belief that God’s blessings are meant to be shared, the club is poised to making a lasting impact on the community, embodying the wisdom of Ohafia’s elders as it looks to the future.

Known for his integrity and visionary approach, Dr. Udo brings a dedication to unity and empowerment. He spoke of the club’s mission, invoking the Ohafia adage, “Ihe onye obula k’ne bu n’obi, o buru nke ha niile,” meaning, “When everyone carries the same vision, it becomes ours to bear together.” He also emphasized that “God’s blessings to any individual are meant to reach out to others,” reminding members that true success is measured by how one uplifts those around them. Under his leadership, the club will emphasize shared responsibility and mutual support, aiming for sustainable growth and community-driven projects.
