Osun NNPP elects new state, LG executives
The New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP, in Osun State has elected new state and local executives to manage its administrative affairs.
The election took place on Monday during the party’s state congress held at its secretariat in Osogbo.
Speaking on behalf of the new executives, the re-elected Osun NNPP Chairman, Dr Oluwatosin Odeyemi, expressed appreciation to the electoral committee and party members for the confidence placed in the leadership.
Odeyemi encouraged party leaders and members “to act with integrity and support the executives and mobilise for the success of the party.”
He also announced that the party would hold its primary election for the 2026 Osun governorship race on Saturday, December 13, 2025.
The new state and local executives were elected through a voice vote coordinated by the electoral committee.
The committee chairman was Adedayo Adeyemi, with Olalekan Fabayo as secretary and Solape Olatunbosun as a member.
The Electoral Committee chairman, Adedayo Adeyemi, described the congress as free and fair.
He noted that delegates conducted themselves in an orderly manner throughout the exercise.
Adeyemi also urged the newly elected leaders to uphold the oath they had taken and “work diligently for the progress of the party.”
The newly elected state officers include Dr Tosin Odeyemi (Chairman), Otunba Adekunle Abolade (Deputy State Chairman), Ismail Oladeji (State Secretary), Mofolasayo Makinde (State Treasurer), Aderonke Aderemi (State Financial Secretary), and Ajileye Bukola (State Women Leader).
Representatives of the Independent National Electoral Commission, Ishola Olakunle and Abajesude Modupeola, attended the congress to monitor the election process.
