Rivers: Niger Delta now APC – Presidency reacts as Fubara dumps PDP
President Bola Tinubu’s Adviser on Policy Communication, Daniel Bwala, has declared that the entire South-South is now under the All Progressives Congress, APC.
Bwala was reacting to Governor Sim Fubara’s defection from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to the APC.
Fubara, who announced his defection to the APC, said the PDP failed to protect him during his political crisis.
The governor explained that he sought refuge from the federal government following challenges that threatened his position and political survival.
Fubara disclosed that the APC offered the support and protection he needed to navigate the political turbulence in Rivers State.
Reacting, Bwala posted on X: “With joy in my heart, I join all the progressives home and abroad in welcoming my dear friend and brother, His Excellency Sim Fubara @SimFubaraKSC, the Executive Governor of Rivers State, to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
“With this move, we can boldly say the entire South-South is now APC.”
