Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu State has revealed that he fell in love with President Bola Tinubu the first day he assumed office as president.
Speaking during his formal defection to the APC on Tuesday, Mbah said he fell in love with Tinubu when he announced the removal of fuel subsidy and unified the foreign exchange market during his inauguration on May 29, 2023.
In his words;
“I fell in love with this president from the day he made the announcement to remove fuel subsidy and unified the foreign exchange market essentially.
“This is because, given my background as somebody who plays in the oil and gas sector, I’ve also written features in the past on why it has become necessary for the subsidy to go.
“I enjoy a very good relationship with the President, no doubt about that”.
