BREAKING: Why judge ordered DSS to bundle Nnamdi Kanu Out of court | WATCH VIDEO

Justice James Omotosho of the Federal High Court in Abuja  has on Thursday ordered Department of Secret Service, DSS agents to bundle the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, out of the courtroom.

Omotosho gave the order after Kanu raised his voice, insisting that judgement would not be delivered in the ter-rorism charge the Federal Government entered against him as he is yet to give his final written address.

“the right to a final address is a fundamental constitutional right…..” Kanu posited.

The judge who had earlier dismissed Kanu’s request for the case to be referred to the Court of Appeal, stressing that section 306 of the Administration of Criminal Justice Act, 2015, forbade the stay of proceedings in a criminal matter.

The court equally refused his request for bail, saying it would, in the course of the judgement, consider some of the issues Kanu raised in his motions.

As the judge attempted to commence the reading of the judgement for the day, Kanu stood his ground, shouting that the court had no jurisdiction to decide the case without admitting his written address.

The judge eventually ordered that he be taken out of court, adding that the judgment can be given in his absence. Thereafter, Kanu accused Omotosho of not knowing the law.
“Note that any judgement given here today is rubbish” Kanu fumed as he was taken out.
