Why I stopped using my private jet since August – Senator Orji Uzor Kalu| Watch video
The Senator representing Abia North federal constituency, Orji Uzor Kalu has explained why he grounded his private jet since August 2024 and opted for flying with commercial airplanes.
Posting a video on his verified Facebook handle over the weekend, Kalu said:
“……I have stopped using my private jet since August 2, 2004 and I want to maintain that until we are able to sort out the differentials of the workers’ salaries in Nigeria and in West Africa.
“I put into consideration, the high cost of fuel and other issues in arriving at my decision.“I have grounded the private jet to do some other businesses in the oil sector and I want to maintain it that way.“There are some commercial planes that are on schedule and I will use them to the glory of God.”
He further wrote in the comment section;
“It’s about my private business not government owned. I have been flying private jet since 30 years ago. I am taking the decision for the betterment of my workers in the private sector not government related. It’s important we are guided with the real idea behind this my decision.”
