Barr. Mrs. Grace Agu, a Lawyer and a Software Solutions Training Expert have highlighted the significance of Computer coding and programming as she set to train Nigerians so as to change their World.

The software solutions expert highlighted this in an exclusive media chat with Trustbase News on Saturday 18th January 2025.

Agu made the following revelations about coding and programming trainings.

“Coding is power. It can change the world.

“Programming is a way to turn your ideas into reality. With code, you have the power to create something that has never existed before.

“Programming is the art of telling another human being what one wants the computer to do.

“Everybody should learn to program a computer, because it teaches you how to think.

Coding is not just about creating software, it’s about solving problems”.

According to her, the training program is an information and computer technology related program (ICT) aimed at educating and equipping IT enthusiasts with the much needed skills to thrive in this data driven automated world. She stated that almost all sectors of the world’s economy have been greatly impacted by the rise and advancement in technology. Such as.

Banking: Where we see the use of AI and Machine Learning to reduce manual labour thus increasing efficiency of the banking system as it relates to providing world class customer service. Also the use of mobile apps for enhancing customer service. That way, customers avoid queuing up at the banks or even going to ATMs to perform regular banking transactions. People can do this right from the comfort of their homes.

Medicine: There is a health care automated systems called chat bots for and viral assistants for an improved customer support and instant answers or responses to customer’s questions.

Law: Today, in the legal world, there is also an automated systems like: Client Intake and on boarding, Document Management system, Billing and Timekeeping system. These innovations in law has made it easier for lawyers to best handle clients and their matters with more ease and precision, and better record keeping as well.

“This program is majorly aims at teaching people practically how to build such systems. Through my trainings people will be taught the ‘How to’ go about building automated systems; of course they will be taught the basics; programming concepts which will be clearly explained to students. It will be a very practical approach to training in ICT. It is something that well meaning persons and even parents should take advantage of because at the end of the trainings, students would build systems of their own (projects) to show case their new found prowess in ICT. Trainer:The programmes as listed on the flier, is for Adults and children alike. When I say children, I mean children between the ages of 8 years and older.
Children can go for courses like Python programming, web site design using HTML and CSS. Teen agers can extend their coding knowledge in website creation by adding javascript which is a programming language. This is used in web development, to add functionality to what is known in tech as ‘front end’ applications.
Please note that most of the coursed listed on the flier are mostly for adults. However, children and teens alike, have their place, too just as seen in my earlier remarks on this question.

Trainer:Coding is simply the art of writing instructions for a computer to perform certain tasks. Coding can be used to build website and web applications, and build software solutions. Also, anyone who is technically inclined, can learn how to code.

Trustbase news : How can one have access to the trainings? Is it Online or Physical learning?
Trainer : For now, trainings will be held Online, and for those situate in Abuja ( Maitama, Kubwa, Asokoro, Gwarinpa, Kado Estate, Wuye, Lugbe, etc ) can enjoy Home Service if they choose to.
For international audience, that is those outside Nigeria and outside Abuja we shall have our meetings Online. And it promises to be well engaging.

I want to quickly talk about some of the courses listed on the flier:
1. Web App Development: is a course that trains you on how to build what is referred to in tech as a “full stack application”- meaning, a combination of two major components ( front end and back end of a system) making it a complete system. Full stack web applications are usually data driven because they are apps that collect user information and store them in a database, and used for data analysis to analyze user behavior and to interact with users or customers in real time.
2. Mobile App Development: Here students will be taught how to build native apps as well as full stack web products.
