The immediate past chairman of the Labour party in Abia state, Hon. Ceekay Igara has described as false, an allegation credited to senator Emma Anosike, alleging that governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo state is financing the party.
Hon. Igara while responding to the allegation on Thursday, described Anosike as a joker who wants to cause chaos in Labour party with his faceless publication.
Anosike, a chieftain of the APC, had in an online publication, alleged that the Abia state chairman of the Labour Party, “publicly acknowledged Governor Hope Uzodinma’s sponsorship and support for the Labour Party within Abia State.”
Igara who is the National vice chairman of Labour Party, south east, dared Anosike to state where and when such statement was made.
” it is obvious and clear that Hope Uzodinma has never contributed a dime to the development of the Labour Party in Abia state. What would be the benefit of him contributing to us?
“I don’t know if he (Anosike) understands the meaning of publicly acknowledged. If he does, let him release where and when the statement was made.
“They know they are phasing out of the system and they are busy trying to rope Abia labour Party . Why Abia? Igara queried.
He noted that the malicious blackmail orchestrated against Labour party in Abia state is because of the “giant strides and developments the government of Dr Alex Otti has achieved.
“They are trying to see how they can bring us to their controversies and cause disgruntle among the party . They have failed and will continue to fail. Emma Anosike must be a Joker and none of their blackmail will deter labour party. We will continue to grow from strength to strength ” Igara added.
