The Labour Party Ward 3 Chairman in Arue-Uromi, in Esan North -East Local Government of Edo State, Thompson Ehiguese has debunked the news of the suspension of the Labour Party National Chairman Bar Julius Abure as falsehood.

Thompson Ehiguese who described the news as shocking stated:

” I just woke up with a shocking news this morning, that the State Chairman  Kelly Ogbalo’s press conference that the ward 3 Chairman has suspended the National Chairman of our great Party Bar Julius Abure”.

” I want to tell the press and everybody that the information is not correct, the lies I do not know where it’s coming from. We the ward 3 members are very loyal to the National Chairman, Bar Julius Abure. We didn’t suspend him and have nothing to do with his suspension ”

He however, asked Nigerians and party faithfuls to disregard the information as the purported suspension is not from them. Arue-Uromi ward 3 affirms the National Chairman as a member of our ward and no plans for his suspension as they still throw their wet behind Abure as the National Chairman of the Party.

Meanwhile, according to the Edo State Labour Party executive committee led by Kelly Ogbalo claims that a letter of suspension dated May 14, 2024, and another letter of ratification dated May 15, 2024, both of which were ratified at a meeting of the state executive committee on Friday night in Benin.

The letter of suspension which they claimed was signed by the Ward Chairman, Thompson Ehiguese, and Ward Secretary, Stanley Usiomoh has been denied by the ward.

Moreso, the state executive committee stated that a  letter of ratification of his suspension was forwarded to the State Executive Committee of the party through the State Chairman by the Local Government Chairman of the party in Esan North-East, Patrick Onogbeni, and LG Secretary, Ehikioya Eromosele.

The State executive committee maintained to have endorsed the decisions of the ward and local government committee of the party on Friday  and ratified Abure’s suspension.
