Labour Party calls for reorganization of the party even in the face of attempts of disorganisation by major beneficiaries.
The Labour Party has called for the reorganization of the Party to avoid possible destruction of the Party by those who are major beneficiaries in the Party.
This was stated in a resolution arising from the National Working Committee meeting held 15 November 2024 at its National Headquarters Abuja and made available to Trustbase news.
According to the resolution, the NWC of the LP Party called for this total reorganization having considered the report before it.
The National Leadership of the party also noted with dismay the ploy by some major beneficiaries of the party to destroy the party and seek shelter elsewhere.
The National Vice Chairman (Southeast) Hon Ceekay Igara maintained that what is happening to the Party is a temporary setbacks as he advised faithful Party members not to be derailed from the party’s ideologies and principles as he attributed the Party’s experience as a trial time for the party.
The NWC also reaffirmed it’s resolve to help the Abia State chapter of the party to resolve her political impasse, as they unanimously resolved of the party’s readiness to open a window of pardon for erring members who shows remorse for misbehaviour and tow the path of peace.
The NWC further affirms Abia state as the beautiful bride of the party, being the only state that won a governorship seat in the country for the party.
The committee however determined to rescue the party from the hands of manipulators who has benefitted from the party as seen in the recent experiences in the party as witnessed from the wards to the National of some destructive tendency of some elements without considerations of the benevolence and magnanimity of the party that has given them opportunities to be beneficiaries yet wants to be used as a destructive tools against the party.
The Abia LP delegates who visited the NWC was led by the Acting State Chairman Hon Prince G.O Ndubueze were welcome by the NWC, as their issues of impersonation and intimidation of genuine party members and executives were also discussed.
The reports of the Party’s LG elections recently conducted across the federation were evaluated and decisions taken.
In responds, the national chairman of the Party, Bar Julius Abure assured members of the Party of the readiness of the NWC to correct every wrongs believed to have been mated against the party.
The National Chairman also admonished the Party to always sue for peace, adding that the party is peace-loving and ever ready to embrace peace.
All issues of anti party activities within the members of the Party were extensively discussed and decisions well taken.
The NWC however passed a unanimously vote of confidence on the leadership of the National Chairman Julius Abure for his outstanding leadership qualities.
