The Supreme Court has fixed Friday 12 January 2024, as judgment day on the appeals by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the All Progressives Congress (APC) against the election of Governor Alex Otti of Abia State.
The five Man panel of the Apex Court adjourned the matters for judgments after taking arguments from parties involved in the matter on Wednesday 10 January.
The APC and PDP are asking the apex court to nullify the election of Otti of the Labour Party as Abia State Governor.
A legal counsel to one of the parties confirmed the new judgement date to Trustbase news.
The judgement on Friday will bring to an end of all legal battles against the election victories of Governor Alex Otti and the Labour Party led Government in Abia State.
