Despite kicks from the Federal government and the National Assembly, Nigerian youths are adamant on staging a protest against hunger, bad governance, among others.
Trustbase News had reported that President Bola Tinubu had said there is no need for protest as he has listened to their demands and will soon respond.
This is as others in the corridor of power have also asked the youths not to protest for various reasons including that ” it is not the right time to protest”.
For the Nigeria Police Force, they are of the opinion that the proposed protest should be canceled because it may be hijacked like the 2020 #EndSARS protest.
However, the youths are insistent on protesting from August 1st in the 36 states of the federation including the FCT.
Some of their demands include; scrapping the 1999 constitution, making legislation a part time job, reverting petrol price to N100, release of IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu, free education, combating hunger and insecurity, etc.
