
Security forces have rescued a kidnapped victim after troops of the 322 Army Regiment, working with the Nigeria Police and local vigilantes, engaged suspected kidnappers in Ekpoma, Esan West Local Government Area of Edo State.
The development was contained in a post shared on X by security analyst Zagazola Makama on Wednesday.
According to the report, the operation took place around 9:30 a.m. on September 7, 2026, along Juju Junction, behind Ambrose Alli University in Ekpoma.
The security team reportedly confronted the suspected kidnappers during the operation, forcing them to abandon the victim and flee the area.
“The victim was rescued and later handed over to the Nigeria Police for further action,” Makama wrote.
According to the report, security forces have continued in their efforts to locate the fleeing suspects and prevent further kidnapping and other criminal activities in the area.
