Hon. Ceekay Igara, Labour Party Governorship Candidate for Abia State, has joined fellow citizens at home and in the diaspora to celebrate the 35th anniversary of Abia State’s creation, describing the milestone as a moment to honour the resilience of Abians while renewing commitment to genuine progress.
In a statement issued by his Media Team, Igara commended the enduring spirit of Abia’s traders, farmers, professionals, artisans, and public servants, whose hard work, he said, has sustained the state’s reputation for enterprise and talent over the past three and a half decades.
“Thirty-five years on, Abia’s greatest asset remains her people, their resilience, ingenuity, and refusal to be defined by setbacks, This anniversary must be more than commemoration; it must be a call to action for leadership that finally matches the potential of our people.” Igara said.
He said the David of Abia Campaign remains committed to a future where good governance, development, and unity of purpose translate into real opportunity for every Abian, particularly the youth, adding that the state’s next chapter must be built on accountability and shared prosperity.
Igara wished Abia State a happy 35th anniversary and reaffirmed his commitment to a stronger, more prosperous Abia for generations to come.
