There are moments in the life of a family, a community, and a nation when we pause to recognize the silent forces that hold our world together. This Father’s Week, my heart is filled with deep gratitude for the men who have embraced the sacred responsibility of fatherhood.
To be a father is not merely biological. It is a divine assignment and a priestly calling.
In a world that often shakes, fathers remain the steady ground. In homes and communities, we see men who endure in silence so their children can experience joy, stability, and hope. Today, I celebrate not just the name “father,” but the sacrifice, the discipline, the prayers, and the quiet strength that define true manhood.
To the fathers of Abia State, the heartbeat of God’s Own State, I honor your resilience, industry, and faith. You stand as pillars in your communities, building hope through effort, integrity, and perseverance. You model dignity for the next generation through both struggle and strength.
Scripture reminds us that a father’s blessing establishes generations. A father is the first priest, first prophet, and first protector his children know.
When a father speaks life, he shapes destiny. His words carry spiritual weight. In times of hardship and uncertainty, it is his presence, prayer, and guidance that steadies the home.
To every weary father: your labor is not wasted. The values you are planting today will become strength in the lives of your children tomorrow.
I understand the burdens many fathers carry: provision, responsibility, and the pressure of uncertain times.
But this message stands firm: do not faint.
“The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, and He delights in his way.” Psalm 37:23
Like David who faced lions, bears, and giants by divine strength, you are equipped to overcome every challenge before you. Your strength is being renewed.
Let love guide your leadership. Let your home be a place of peace. Let your children see in you patience, courage, and faith.
As we honor fathers, we reaffirm our hope for a society where family dignity is restored, where fathers are strengthened, and where children grow in peace and opportunity.
To young fathers, walk with courage.
To elders, we honor your legacy.
To single fathers and father figures, your sacrifice is seen and valued.
Happy Father’s Week. May your strength endure, your vision remain clear, and may your homes be established in lasting peace and blessing.
Signed
Hon. Ceekay Igara
