BREAKING: Court grants Ooni’s ex-queen, Naomi bail | READ DETAILS
Naomi Silekunola, a former queen to the Ooni of Ife, has been granted bail by an Oyo State High Court, on Monday.
Others granted bail include; media personality, Oriyomi Hamzat and the Principal of Islamic High School, Abdulahi Fasasi.
Presiding over Court 8, Justice K.B Olawoyin gave the ruling following a bail application filed by the counsel for the trio.
Recall that the three defendants are being prosecuted for the dea-ths of 35 children during a stampede at a Christmas funfair programme on Dec. 18, 2024, at Islamic High School, Orita Basorun, Ibadan.
They were arraigned before an Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court on four-count charge bordering on conspiracy, mur-der, mansl-aughter and negligence on December 24, 2024.
The defendants were subsequently remanded at Agodi Correctional Centre.
