Ebonyi Police Command nabs Car snatching syndicate member
The Ebonyi State Police Command says it has apprehended a suspected member of a three-man car snatching syndicate in Abakaliki one Nwali Chibuike Solomon.

According to a statement by the Commands Public Relations Officer, SP Joshua Ukandu, the Suspect was arrested by officers of the command
while attempting to sell a vehicle.
The statement revealed that the vehicle, which was stolen in March 2025 from a private school in Abuja had already been re-registered in the suspect’s name.

It further made public that during the operation, military camouflage uniforms were also recovered at the location in Idembia community in Ezza South LGA adding that the command is currently intensifying efforts to apprehend the remaining members of the gang.

The statement therefore appeals to the public to take advantage of the Nigeria Police Force Digitised Central Motor Registry (E-CMR) by registering to facilitate the tracking and flagging of stolen vehicles.
