Justice Simon Aboki of the High Court in Lafia, Nasarawa State, has convicted and sentenced an alleged gospel singer, Oluwatimileyin Ajayi, for killin-g and dismembering one Salome Adaidu.
Recall that ADAIDU was a National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member, serving at Nicon Insurance Abuja.
Ajayi had been accused of murd-ering 24 years old Adaidu when she visited him at his residence in Papalana, New Karshi, in Nassarawa state on January 12, 2025, .
He was later caught attempting to dispose of her severed body.
Ajayi was charged with one count of culpable homicide contrary to Section 221 of the Penal Code of Northern Nigeria and punishable by death.
Giving judgment on Thursday, June 26, Justice Simon Aboki, found Ajayi guilty of killin-g and dismembering Adaidu. He was sentenced to death by hang-ing.
