The member representing Isuikwuato/Umunneochi federal Constituency in the National Assembly, Hon Amaobi Ogah has congratulated Nigeria’s Senior female National football Team, the Super Falcons for emerging champions in the just concluded Women African Cup of Nations, WAFCON.

Hon Ogah in a release described the dramatic victory of the Super Falcons over their host Morocco as a glowing example of determination, unity and the relentless pursuit of excellence.

He described the victory as well deserved, having eliminated tough opponents including Zambia and South Africa in the Quarter and Semi final stages.

The House of Rep member who lauded the spirit of unity that characterized the team’s general performance throughout the tournament, called on Youths in the country to emulate the doggedness that saw the Super Falcons players overcome the two goal deficit recorded in the first half of the final match of the competition to win the trophy in the presence of a highly partisan crowd.

Recall, the Super Falcons produced a historic comeback in a cup final when they came from two-zero down to win the coveted trophy for a record tenth time after scoring three goals in the second half of the encounter.
