CHAN: Prize money for Morocco, Madagascar confirmed after 3-2 final clash
The prize money for Morocco and Madagascar has been confirmed following the conclusion of the 2024 African Nations Championship, CHAN, tournament on Saturday.
Recall that Morocco defeated Madagascar 3-2 in the CHAN final to lift the trophy.
The CHAN final was played at the Moi International Sports Centre.
A goal from Youssef Mehri and a brace from Oussama Lamlaoui ensured the North Africans defeated Madagascar.
C. F. Manohantsoa and T. N. Rakotondraibe scored the goals for Madagascar during the encounter.
However, the victory earned Morocco the gold medal and $3.5 million prize money.
Madagascar’s gallant run ended in silver and a $1.2 million payout.
