Transfer: Rio Ferdinand names best value signing this summer
Former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand has suggested that Chelsea’s Joao Pedro is the best value-for-money signing in the Premier League this summer.
Ferdinand made the remark on his YouTube channel as he highlighted the versatility of the Brazilian attacker, describing him as a strong addition to manager Enzo Maresca’s squad.
“I think Joao Pedro is going to be the best value [for money signing in the Premier League this summer],” Ferdinand said. “He is a great addition to the Chelsea squad because he can play centre-forward, can play as a number ten. A very good addition.”
Pedro has been impressive for Chelsea so far this season, scoring in their recent 2-0 win against Fulham in the Premier League.
