Only two African players were included in the top 10 of this year’s Ballon d’Or nominees.
The players are Morocco’s Achraf Hakimi and Egypt’s Mohamed Salah.
Both were outstanding for their respective clubs over the past year.

The organisers of the Ballon d’Or, France Football, revealed this during the award ceremony on Monday night in Paris.
Other players in the Ballon d’Or 2025 top 10 are Ousmane Dembélé, Raphinha, Vitinha, Cole Palmer, Nuno Mendes, Gianluigi Donnarumma, Kylian Mbappé and Lamine Yamal.
