2027: INEC provides updates on ongoing voter registration
The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has provided update on the Continuous Voter Registration, CVR.
In its weekly online pre-registration statistics from 22nd to 28th of September 2025, being the Week 6 of the exercise, the Commission said it recorded a total number of 6,232,673.
This number of made up of 3,250,338 (52.15%) females and 2,982,335 (47.85%) males.
Youths within the age bracket of 18-34 are about 4,230,715 while student registrants make up 1,565,824 and 137,865 persons with disabilities.
On the completed online and physical registration from 22nd to 26th September 2025 being the Week 5 of the exercise, the Commission said it recorded a total number of 1,004,132.
It said that total number of 537, 743 completed online registration while 466,389 completed physical registration.
Among this number, 555,077 (55.28%) are females while 449,055 (44.72%) are males.
Youths (18-34) make up 742,379 while students and people with disabilities make up 354,406 and 13,987 of the number respectively.
