EPL: Haaland not stupid to sign new Man City contract – Guardiola
Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola, has said Erling Haaland was not stupid to sign a new contract with the club.
Guardiola also dismissed speculations claiming Haaland could leave the former Premier League champions.
According to him, Haaland is committed to staying at the Etihad for a long time.
“I think Erling is not stupid enough to sign a long contract he would not like to accomplish. That’s for sure,” Guardiola said.
“But with football, who knows what is going to happen next time? Nobody knows!”
Haaland has been continuously linked with Spanish giants Real Madrid and Barcelona.
The Norway international reportedly has a contract with City until the summer of 2027.
