Terem Moffi is optimistic the Super Eagles will earn a berth at the 2026 FIFA World Cup despite the team’s precarious position in Group C, DAILY POST reports.
Eric Chelle’s side occupy third position in the group behind Benin Republic and South Africa.
The Super Eagles have garnered 11 points, while Benin and South Africa are on 14 points each.
The three-time African must win their remaining two games and pray Benin, and South Africa drop points to qualify for the global soccer fiesta.
Moffi, who is making a return to the team after his lengthy injury layoff believed the task is achievable.
“We are really confident about qualifying for the World Cup,” Moffi told the Super Eagles media.
“We have to do our part and wait for the result of the other team. So, we’re really confident things will go our way.”
