Youth leaders of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, in Imo State have held a strategic meeting across the 27 LGAs aimed at strengthening the party’s structure ahead of the 2027 general elections and the off-cycle governorship election in 2028.

The meeting, convened by the State Youth Leader, Chika Emedo, brought together the 27 local government youth leaders, along with all zonal and deputy youth leaders of the party.

In a statement issued to journalists on Sunday after the meeting, Emedo emphasised the need for renewed commitment, unity, and hard work to position the ADC for electoral victories in the state.

He described ADC as ‘the bride of the people’, insisting that the party remains the most credible alternative for Imo citizens seeking transformational and people-driven leadership.

“We must intensify our grassroots engagement and demonstrate the discipline required to deliver victory for the ADC. The youth must be at the forefront of changing the political narrative in Imo State,” Emedo stated.

Those who attended the strategy session with the state youth leader were the 27 LGA youth leaders, as well as the zonal youth leaders.

The meeting is one of several planned engagements aimed at deepening the ADC’s grassroots mobilisation across the 27 local government areas of Imo State.
