Adamawa APC inaugurates e-registration project
The Adamawa State chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has inaugurated its e-registration project.
At a meeting held to announce the perfection of plans for the registration exercise on Monday in Yola, the party tasked its leaders to ensure that as many as 200,000 new members join the fold within the first month of the registration exercise.
The meeting attracted chairmen, other officials of the party and prominent members from the various local government areas to the capital.
Speaking at the meeting, Adamama State APC Secretary, Dr. Raymond Chidama, said the digital registration exercise will revolutionize how the party manages its membership record for planning.
“This digital system will help us know our members, identify them accurately, and extend opportunities to the right people,” the party scribe said
Also speaking, the state APC Organizing Secretary and Coordinator of the e-registration exercise, Mustapha Ribadu, said the initiative became necessary after a careful review of the party’s voting performance compared to its membership claims.
Ribadu said the revalidation and upgrade of the membership register will help rebuild the party on a foundation of credibility and accuracy.
A prominent member of the party and governorship hopeful, Abdulrahman Haske, who also spoke during the occasion, said the e-registration would further strengthen the APC come 2027.
Haske asserted, “We will take back Adamawa State. Adamawa is APC and APC is Adamawa. We lost the state in 2019 and 2023 owing to division within the party, but we are taking care of that and we are set on our winning way.”
