The Staffs of the Corporate Affairs Commission was drumming and celebrating in Maitama  Abuja in jubilation over the sack of their Registrar General Alhaji Garba Abubakar few days back.

People were seen gathered in  jubilation around the  CAC Corporate headquarters even entertainment were shared to members of the public.

Indeed the celebration was to mark the exit of the sacked Chief executive officer who they called Emperor due to his  alleged autocratic leadership style.

However,  President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of Hussaini Magaji, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria ( SAN), as the new Registrar General of the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC)

The changes, according to a statement issued by the presidential adviser on media and publicity, Chief Ajuri Ngelale, are in line with the administration’s resolve to base Nigeria’s economic revival on the foundation of trade expansion through small, medium, and large-scale industry facilitation in the country:

Recall in 2021, Staffs and NLC tackled the sacked Registrar – General over alleged fraud of N6.542 Billion and other allegations which includes; Short-changing staffs allowances and entitlement., Stoppage of staffs loans., Stoppage of welfare proposals.,  Doubts on CCB declaration by the RG., Staffs victimizations and  transfers., Abuse of power, financial impropriety and commercialisation of promotion of the commission., Inflation of consultancy fees for tax reconciliation., Financial impropriety with  regards to the cost of training Board Members, among others.
