Jigawa 2027: Gov Namadi pushes for APC registration, PVC collection
Jigawa State Governor, Malam Umar Namadi, has urged residents to take full advantage of the ongoing All Progressives Congress (APC) membership registration and register for the party ahead of the 2027 general election.
In a statement signed by his Senior Special Assistant on Media, Hajiya Zainab Shu’aibu Rabo, Governor Namadi described the PVC as a critical instrument that empowers citizens to determine their political future, stressing that the registration exercise remains open and accessible.
According to the statement, “I also encourage eligible citizens to take advantage of the ongoing Continuous Permanent Voter’s Card (PVC) registration to enable them participate actively in the democratic process ahead of the 2027 general elections”
The statement further called on residents to register and position themselves to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the forthcoming elections, noting that the President has recorded commendable achievements for Nigerians.
He urged those yet to register to do so and formally become party members and ensure they collected their PVC.
Governor Namadi noted that the APC remains the dominant political party in Jigawa State and across the country, citing its performance and impact on lives of citizens.
It was, however, reported that Jigawa State is among the states with highest number of collected PVC in the country.
