A former Director of Mobilization of the Obidient Movement, Morris Monye, has alleged that the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Benjamin Kalu, is putting so much trust on the All Progressives Congress, APC, “rigging machine” ahead of the 2027 Abia governorship race.
Monye made the remark on Friday via his X handle while reacting to reports that Kalu is set to join the race to unseat Abia State Governor, Alex Otti.
He claimed that Kalu believes strongly in the APC’s electoral strength, adding that the strategy would ultimately fail.
Monye also described Otti as the most popular politician in the South-East, expressing confidence that any attempt to defeat him through such means would not succeed.
He wrote: “I think Ben Kalu trusts the APC rigging machine so much that he wants to cash in on it.
“Otti is the most popular Politician in SE. The machine will fail Kalu.”
