Women in the Barkin Ladi Local Government Area of Plateau State on Monday staged a protest over the recent attack that left six people dead and the alleged unlawful arrest of four youths.

The demonstrators blocked major roads in the area, disrupting movement, and allegedly dismantled a military checkpoint while expressing anger over what they described as rising insecurity and injustice.

They also called on authorities to ensure the protection of lives and property, as well as the immediate release of the arrested youths, while demanding lasting solutions to the recurring violence in the community.
