As crisis in the Rivers State Assembly heightened on Monday, the Rivers house of assembly has commenced an impeachment proceedings against the Governor of the State, Gov Siminalayi Fubara.
The Commencement of the impeachment proceedings is ongoing, as members of the state house of assembly have signed the impeachment notice against the governor.
As at now 24 of the 32 members of the assembly have been signed the proceedings and also noted to be present during Monday’s plenary.
The clerk of the assembly has been ordered to serve the impeachment notice on the governor as the majority leader of the house removed.
