The Ondo State Deputy Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, is currently presiding over a State Executive Council meeting.
This follows months of tension over the absence of Governor Rotimi Akeredolu from the state and the pressures for the State Assembly to appoint the Deputy Governor as the acting Governor of the State.
The meeting, which is held at the office of the deputy governor, comes after months of bickering between Loyalists of the governor and the deputy governor.
Recall that on Friday, President Bola Tinubu summoned the two factions to a meeting in Abuja, where it was agreed that the deputy governor should continue to perform his duties as deputy governor.
