My Lawyer Madam Used Weapons On Me For Touching Her Child –

11-year-old Happiness Nwafor, has been hospitalised after her madam, one Adachukwu Cukelu-Okafor, a lawyer, brutali-sed her in Onitsha, Anambra State.
According to the Anambra State Women and Social Welfare Commissioner, Hon. Ify Obinabo, the victim who has stayed barely one month with Okafor, was brut-alised with broken bottle, iron, kn-ife and pestle on several occasions.
The victim started living with the lawyer on January 5, 2024 at her resident at Igwilo street Akapka, off Isieke by Actus Dei Schools Akapka Onitsha.
On the last straw, the lawyer allegedly brutalis-ed the house help for touching her daughter’s body, burnt her clothes, and dropped her off stark na-ked with her relative, one Ifeoma Muoghalu.
The Commissioner who was notified of the incident on Wednesday, by Defend Your Rights Foundation quickly swung into action by dispatching her team who took the victim to a hospital.
“While speaking at the hospital where she was first rushed to in Ogidi, the relative Ifeoma Muoghalu explained that the suspect Cukelu-Okafor boasted that nothing will happen because she’s a lawyer and knows how to work her way out.
Ifeoma equally noted that since the incident the suspect has not been taking her calls. She also confirmed that the 11 year old was handed over to her Madam on the 5th of January only to be disfigured within the short period of her stay” the press release read in part.
Hon. Obinabo assured that the suspect who is currently on the run, will be apprehended and made to face the law.
