SERAP Threatens To Sue FG Over Increase In Electricity Tariff | READ DETAILS
Socio Economic Rights and Accountability Project, SERAP has said it will sue president Bola Tinubu’s administration over the recent hike in electricity tariff.
Trustbase News had reported that the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC), approved an increase in electricity tariff by 300% for Band A consumers effective from April 3.
The commission increased the tariff from N65 to N225 as Nigerians continue to groan.
W”e’re suing the Tinubu administration over the arbitrary increase in electricity tariff from N66 to N225 despite the difficult economic realities in the country, and the pending lawsuit on the matter” SERAP said via it’s X handle.
